2.      Who Can Apply for a UK Student Visa?

 

·         Have you been accepted into an approved institution?

(The institution issues the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) as proof).

·         Do you have the financial resources to fund your stay?

3.      Documents Required for a UK Student Visa Application:

When applying for a UK Student Visa, you need the following documents:

 

·         Your valid passport.

·         All Academic Documents (Transcript + Diploma)

·         The Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from your school.

·         Proof you have enough financial resources to support yourself and any family members.

·         An Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate if applicable.

·         Criminal record certificate.

·         Proof of English Language proficiency.

·         Tuberculosis (TB) Test:

·         Any additional documents required during the application process, like cover letter for student visa, etc.

·         Age proof

5.      UK Student Visa Fees and Costs:

·         £363 if applying from inside the UK

·         £490 if applying from outside the UK

·         Health Surcharge£776 per year – Refundable in case of visa refusal and £388 for any additional period that is less than 6 months.

 

 

6.      CAS: Admission letter from UK Sponsoring institutions is called CAS-Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies.

 

 

7.      Part Time Job-Allowed for Public Universities & Colleges:

 

·         Degree Level Course: 20 hours per week during term, 40 hours per week during vacations.

·         Below Degree level: 10 hours per week during term, 40 hours per week during vacations.  

·         No Job permitted for Private college students

 

8.      Bank Statement Requirement

 

·         Tuition fee + Living expenses for one year

·         Average Tuition Fee: around £10000-12000

·         Living Expenses inside London: £12006 (£1334 per month for 9 months)

·         Living Expenses outside London: £ 9207 (£1023 per month for 9 months)

·         Clients are Advised to open a Pound Sterling bank account to avoid issues of currency fluctuation or put extra money in bank account.

·         Required funds must be in the account for 28 days (about 4 weeks) on the day of applying for visa.

·         No savings certificates of National Savings center acceptable. Only bank statement from a regular bank.

·         Bank statement must not be more than 31 days (about 1 month) old when applicant applies for visa.

·         Bank loans issued as Academic or Educational Loan Scheme are also acceptable.

 

 

9.      English Test Acceptable

 

·         IELTS UKVI

·         PTE

·         TOEIC

·         TOEFL ibt

·         Cambridge test of English

 

10.  Is IELTS must?

 

·         No IELTS is not a must for degree programs. University can assess students and may accept without IELTS or advise to take IELTS.

 

11.  What is ATAS?

 

·         Academic Technology Approval Scheme – A special approval required for certain technology related fields – some engineering, Physics, nuclear subjects etc.

 

12.  How do I apply for a UK student visa?  The process of the UK student visa is as follows:
